Booking & Appointments
Appointments
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online through Booksy for the Chicago location or Square for Plainfield. Both show real-time availability.
Will Cristian personally cut my hair?
Yes — every appointment, at both locations, is done personally by Cristian, start to finish.
Can I choose which location I book?
Yes. Chicago and Plainfield run on separate booking systems, so pick whichever location works best for you and use that location's booking link.
Do you accept walk-ins?
Walk-ins are welcome based on availability, though booking ahead is the best way to guarantee your preferred time.
What happens if I'm running late?
There's a 10 to 15 minute grace period, as long as you reach out 30 minutes to an hour before your appointment to let us know.
What is your cancellation and no-show policy?
Cancellations or reschedules made at least 3 hours before your appointment are no problem. After that window, you may be charged half to the full service price depending on how close it is to your appointment time. No-shows are charged in full, and a third no-show will result in no longer being able to book.

Before You Arrive
What To Expect
How should I prepare for my haircut?
Come with dry or towel-dried hair if possible, and bring a reference photo of the style or length you want. Be ready to talk through your hair type, face shape, and how much maintenance you want day to day.
Hair Care & Styling
Keeping Your Cut Sharp
How do I style my haircut at home?
Start on damp, towel-dried hair. Use a matte clay or paste for texture and a natural finish, or a pomade for shine and stronger hold. Work a dime-sized amount through with your fingers from the roots, then shape with a comb or brush. Blow-dry with a brush at the roots first if you want extra lift or volume.
How often should I get a haircut to keep it looking sharp?
For fades and tapers, every 2 to 3 weeks keeps the lines sharp. Longer or all-shear styles can typically go 4 to 6 weeks between cuts.
What products should I use for a fade or textured crop?
For a fade, a light pomade or matte clay keeps the top textured without weighing it down or looking greasy. For a textured crop, a sea salt spray or texture powder adds grip and separation. Avoid heavy grease-based products, which flatten texture and look shiny rather than natural.
